I am a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, and a graduate of the Master of Social Work (MSW) program at King’s University College. Prior to pursuing my MSW, I worked as a Child and Youth Worker. I practice from a trauma-informed, anti-racist and anti-oppressive framework. I enjoy collaborating with clients to create a unique and meaningful therapeutic relationship that is built on compassion, dignity, and mutual respect. My goal is to create a warm and non-judgmental space where you feel safe to share, and where you feel heard and understood. Together we can uncover your individual strengths, shift your perspective, and achieve your goals.
I take an integrative strengths-based and culturally appropriate approach, drawing from a combination of evidence-based treatment modalities including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Client-Centred Therapy, and Mindfulness. I have experience working with youth and individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, identity issues, relationship issues, negative self-talk, mood instability, and those in periods of transition. I also have experience working with newcomers to Canada and youth in conflict with the law. Contact us if you’re interested in finding out whether I am the right fit for you.
When not working, I enjoy watching horror movies, listening to audiobooks and music, and playing boardgames. I also love to travel, and have lived in five different countries.
