Martha Josephian, MSW, RSW

  • Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist

I am a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, graduating with a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from York University and a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of Waterloo.  I believe mental health is an integral part of overall health and well-being, and I am passionate about supporting clients to reach their goals, in a safe, supportive and inclusive environment.

My background includes supporting people to cope with personal and professional transitions. I am passionate about working with people recovering from traumatic injuries and their families. I am committed to making each client feel heard, understood, seen, and valued as we work through life challenges you may be experiencing. I also have experience working with people experiencing loss, grief and bereavement. Whether you’re mourning a loved one or a life transition, I am here to compassionately help you navigate this complex journey.

I practice from a trauma-informed, and strength-based approach, utilizing interventions and tools of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Brief Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy approaches, Mindfulness, and Relaxation Techniques.  I have experience providing support and counseling services to individuals experiencing trauma, grief, infertility, depression, anxiety, stress, and relationship concerns.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my partner, son and our dog Piper. I also enjoy hiking, gardening and reading.
